Victoria, on Vancouver Island, has cricket pitches, double-decker buses, and a parliament that looks like Westminster. It is more British than most of actual Britain. The Empress Hotel does afternoon tea at four o'clock. Float planes land in the inner harbour between the parliament and the hotel. The whole city is performing a memory of England, mostly accurately, mostly intentionally.

We started this because nobody was writing about Indian art the way we wanted to read it.
RareMango began in a one-room office in Bombay in 2022. Two of us, a printer that was always too hot, and a stubborn idea: that Indian wall art deserves a brand that talks about it the way friends talk about it, specific, warm, occasionally wrong, never bored.
Most of what you’ll find on this site is reproduction prints. Museum-grade, framed by our own team, attributed by region and school. Some of it is original work by named artists. All of it is curated, not collected. If a piece is on our site, it’s because we’d hang it on our own walls.
