About this print
Maa Durga in abhaya mudra. The Sherawali, in stillness.
Bengali and Punjabi households share one image of the goddess. Maa Sherawali, seated with one palm raised in abhaya mudra, the tiger calm at her side. The trishul is set aside, the battle is paused. The hand raised is the most generous part of the iconography. The artist holds it in soft realism. Red-and-gold saree, layered gold ornaments, sun-halo behind, the tiger in warm ochre and amber.

Returns and refunds?
Since every piece is made to order, we replace pieces that arrive damaged or defective. Please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and keep the original packaging.

A short letter from the studio
We started this because nobody was writing about Indian art the way we wanted to read it.
RareMango began in a one-room office in Bombay in 2022. Two of us, a printer that was always too hot, and a stubborn idea: that Indian wall art deserves a brand that talks about it the way friends talk about it, specific, warm, occasionally wrong, never bored.
Most of what you’ll find on this site is reproduction prints. Museum-grade, framed by our own team, attributed by region and school. Some of it is original work by named artists. All of it is curated, not collected. If a piece is on our site, it’s because we’d hang it on our own walls.
