Aam-ras is what every Indian household calls the moment ripe mangoes start arriving. The Alphonso, the Dasheri, the Langra. The branches go heavy, the leaves go deep green, the air smells of fruit. This print is a botanical study in that register. Branches dropped low with mango, leaves rendered with old-Mughal botanical detail, cream ground behind.

We started this because nobody was writing about Indian art the way we wanted to read it.
RareMango began in a one-room office in Bombay in 2022. Two of us, a printer that was always too hot, and a stubborn idea: that Indian wall art deserves a brand that talks about it the way friends talk about it, specific, warm, occasionally wrong, never bored.
Most of what you’ll find on this site is reproduction prints. Museum-grade, framed by our own team, attributed by region and school. Some of it is original work by named artists. All of it is curated, not collected. If a piece is on our site, it’s because we’d hang it on our own walls.
