The Mughals built jali-windows so the women of the haveli could watch the city without being watched. This print is one of those windows, painted onto a wall instead of carved into one.
A mint scalloped jharokha holds the centre, the marble inside it streaked with thin gold. Below the marble, a low Mughal palace settles into a soft watercolour landscape, with peacock and palms anchoring the lower-left, peony and rose anchoring the upper edges. The arch surround is mint-on-mint damask. Quiet, elaborate, certain.

Our framing structure includes a back board, foam board for weatherproofing and added durability, adhesive sheet, artwork, and frame. It is built to keep the print stable, clean, and ready to hang.
Can I customise the size or framing?
Yes. Every product has standard size and frame options. For custom sizes or bulk requirements, you can use the Custom Art form or contact us directly.
Returns and refunds?
Since every piece is made to order, we replace pieces that arrive damaged or defective. Please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and keep the original packaging.

We started this because nobody was writing about Indian art the way we wanted to read it.
RareMango began in a one-room office in Bombay in 2022. Two of us, a printer that was always too hot, and a stubborn idea: that Indian wall art deserves a brand that talks about it the way friends talk about it, specific, warm, occasionally wrong, never bored.
Most of what you’ll find on this site is reproduction prints. Museum-grade, framed by our own team, attributed by region and school. Some of it is original work by named artists. All of it is curated, not collected. If a piece is on our site, it’s because we’d hang it on our own walls.
